The Stigler, Oklahoma Church of Christ was much my life through high school.  Stigler had a population of around 2,000 in 1959 and is still about the same size today.  The church had a membership of about 100 then and still does today. 

As is evident from these pictures lifted from the 1969-70 pictorial directory, the Partain family had a strong presence in the church. 

Dad and Charlie Dean made up the eldership. There were 5 deacons.

WA Partain, pictured in the middle with his wife, Ruby, and their children, was the son of William Arthur Partain.  WA was not his initials, it was his name.  He was known as WA or, sometimes, "Dub".  Lola Partain (bottom right) was his mother.

Glen Partain (lower left) is the son of John and Lena Partain (center). Glen is shown with his wife, Pauline, and daughter. Glen and Pauline live in Spiro, OK.
