Let's get started

OK, so we now have a blog. How cool is this? So what is on your heart?
  • Maybe something happened during services or at home or work that blessed you and you would like to share.
  • Maybe Michael said something in his sermon or a teacher said something that you would like to discuss.
  • Maybe you would like to get some feedback concerning an idea for a ministry you have been thinking about.
Any subject is fair game. We just ask that everyone keep it positive. We have no interest in creating a gripe forum.

So go ahead, click on "comment", register, and let's get started and have some fun.

Some will be nervous about offering a public forum. I think it's great.

I think people will like being able to respond. They'll finally have a voice.

What about a posting for technical, mechanical, electical skills within the church family that can be utilized by widows, single mothers, etc...

I think it would be great if members had a "yellow pages/business source" to tap into when in need of services, repairs, etc.

In the members section on the web, click on Ministry Leaders and you will find contact information for the "Free on Friday" ministry. This ministry provides free assistance for widows and any other members who need help with simple home maintenance.

I just want to brag on our ministry at Southeast C of C. I have been so impressed by so many things recently---our amazing family growth since moving to Clear Lake, the ongoing effort by so many of our leaders to aways try to improve & do a little more, the growing Ladies Ministry (WOW!)--Noelle Kornegay, Carrie Broussard & Carrie Allen did an AMAZING job with our last event---men you really missed out!

I would also like to say how impressed I am with our website. What a valuable tool. I was speaking with a new member the other day who told me that it was the website that brought her family to us. She made the comment that it is those churches that have great websites & also utilize the latest technoloiges that she feels are really reaching out to the community & are focused on growing. Hmmmmm....

I just had to share. I am so proud to be a part of this great Southeast family.

Yes, Jenny, thank you for the kind words. We try hard to make the web site infomative for our members and guests. We also hope it appears attractive to our visitors and will encourage them to visit us in person.

I haven't visited our site during the last month or two. This is excellent. I especially appreciate the time and effort that people put into expressing themselves via their blogs.

Southeast blesses my life each and every week. Thanks to everyone for making it great!

First Colony has a service called Marketplace...a source for buying or selling stuff or offering some free things you no longer need. I think it's done by email. Also, sounds like we could use a directory of what's available as far as qulified plumbers, carpenters, and computer gurus.
Even a course on "How to blog".
